Vinohradská 46, Praha 2
The printing, publishing, and journalistic joint stock company Orbis had its building constructed in 1925 according to the design of the architect Alois Dryák. It combines Decorativism and Rondo Cubism elements, and its façade is crowned by a triangular gable in the style of Geometric Modernism. At the beginning of the 1990s, the rebuilt Orbis resumed its publishing activities and tried to continue the tradition of some pre-war publisher´s series. It was closed in 1997. The building housed the state agency Czech Tourism, and the Ministry of Regional Development now owns it.
